Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso (l), has directed all chiefs in the Bole Traditional Area to heighten surveillance at the various borders in the area to stem the import of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) from neighbouring Côte d’voire.
He said surveillance activity ought to be strengthened particularly communities along the Ghana Cote D’Ivoire borders, as the government stepped up measures to help control local transmission of the COVID-19 in the country.
A statement from the BoleWura has therefore directed chiefs in the following communities Mandari, Chache, Jentige, Tinyekura,Nsunia, Ntereso,Abasumakura, Gbenfu,Nyamesikiri,Maluwe,Kalba, Gbeneyiri,Saru,Gakuon,Dagbigu,Dinee, Kunfugsi,Sanyeri and Kulmasa to form various vigilante groups in their various communities to ensure that unapproved routes in the Traditional Area were blocked to check the influx of irregular migrants who could possibly spread the disease in the local communities.
The statement from the Chief added that any person or group of persons attempting to enter the Traditional Area should be arrested and handed over to the police for further examination by the nearest health unit.
