The Bole District Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) will on Tuesday,18th November 2021, begin an exercise to distribute Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Nets (LLITN) to various households, as a strategy to reduce malaria in the District.
Households, who registered during the registration period from the various communities in the District are expected to benefit from the distribution of the treated nets at no cost.
The seven-day free distribution exercise, which would commence on Tuesday, May 18, is expected to end on May 24, according to a statement released to Yagbon radio for announcement by the District Health Directorate.
The statement said a distribution point will be created in all the communities, hence, urged all registered individuals to take their cards to designated distribution points in their communities for the collection of the nets.
The free distribution exercise among other strategies, had helped in the reduction of malaria cases in the country and hence the public is advised to sleep under treated long lasting treated Mosquito nets to avoid contracting the plasmodium parasite.
