The Assemblyman of Chache electoral area in the Bole District of the Savannah Region, Hon. Kuusari Alim Ebong, has donated teaching and learning materials valued over GHC 300 to Tinyekuraa D/A primary school in his area.
The donation forms part of his campaign pledge to support and improve effective teaching and learning in the schools of his electoral area.
The donation included exercise books and learning charts .
He had also earlier on donated computer each to Jentige basic school and Chache primary school.
The Assemblyman made the donation when he toured all the basic schools in his electoral area to access the number of teachers and pupils present as the new academic year began on Tuesday, January 10,2023.
Speaking at a colourful ceremony, Hon.Kusaari said the support shows his commitment towards ensuring that pupils in his electoral area are supported at every stage of the educational ladder to realize their potentials.
He, therefore, advised the pupils to take their studies seriously since they are the future leaders of the nation.
He used the occasion to encourage the teaching staff to work hard and also urged them to work with patience, humility and selfless in other to upbringing the children to become good future leaders.
He also encouraged the headteacher of the school to fight hard to maintain the school and pledged his total commitment to support the school anytime the school called on him.
He advised parents to invest all their resources in their children’s education and added that education opens all doors and also advised them to teach their children to be God-fearing.
Receiving the items on behalf of the school, the headteacher expressed appreciation to the Assembly Member for the kind gesture and promised to motivate the teachers to do their best to ensure the children benefit from the donation.
He used the occasion to call on parents to see the need to enroll their wards in the school as he bemoaned about low enrollment.
He urged the parents to also monitor their children day in and day out to grow up to become good citizens in the society to serve mother Ghana with humility and selfless.
He promised the donor that the materials would be put to good use and ensure lifespan.
Moreover, some of the children also expressed their appreciation towards the Assembly Member and promised to learn hard in order to achieve their aim.
